Ocean Star International is licensed by the FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) to perform international shipping services.

Household Goods:

OSI provides international relocation services from any location in the U.S. to any destination aboard. Over the past 7 years we’ve focused on building an agent base that will allow us to ship anything to any destination in the world. Our destination agents are trained in household goods, which is a unique service. Unlike commercial cargo most people want to have their personal possessions delivered to their door, off loaded and of course customs clearance and any documentation pertaining to their shipment. It’s highly important that you work with a company that has experience with shipping household goods. Most forwarders deal in general cargo which is a completely different ball game.

OSI offers a full door to door service or a simple “to port”. If you’re shipping an entire household or a good amount of personal items it’s suggested that you go with a door to door service simply because it’s all inclusive. If you decide on a door to port or port to port service you would be responsible for picking up your items from the destination port warehouse and arranging your own customs clearance. OSI performs over 5000 international moves every year and we have locations at every major port in the U.S. Getting a quote for shipping your household goods is pretty simple. The first step is to contact one of our shipping experts to discuss the details of your move and we will take care of the rest.

Vehicle Shipping:

OSI provides domestic and international auto shipping for any type of vehicle including cars, boats, yachts and heavy equipment. If you’re shipping a vehicle it’s very important that you understand the process and documentation required. In most cases we will need a copy of the original title in order to get it validated by U.S. customs. There are several options when shipping a vehicle overseas. The first and most common option is a consolidation. OSI offers vehicle consolidations which means we will put your car into a container with other vehicles that are going to the same destination. Vehicle consolidations is the most common because it is the most economical solution. The shipping processes can take anywhere from 6-10 weeks depending on the destination you’re shipping to. The other option is container shipping which means you would have an exclusive container for your vehicle and any other goods you may want to put in the container. The 3rd and final option is roll-on roll-off service also known as Ro/Ro. A Ro/Ro service is when your vehicle is loaded on a Ro/Ro vessel which is specifically for vehicle. This is also a very good option, but please keep in mind that you’re vehicle may be exposed to the elements.
