Exactly Why Your Little Needs To Wear A Swimmer Diaper In The Pool
If you think about water safety the first thing that most likely will pop into your brain is drowning. Actually it is without a doubt one of the highest risks when swimming but there is more. Germs can contaminate pool water and can cause RWI - recreational water illnesses.

These illnesses are spread by swallowing pool water that has been contaminated. Contamination is spread when someone's feces gets in the water.

I know that the germs provoking these RWIs get destroyed by the chlorine in the pool water but that doesn't happen instantly after an accident. Some germs like Crypto can live more than a day in chlorinated water.

As infants and some toddlers are not entirely potty-trained most pools request that they wear a swim diaper approved by the CDC.

Swim nappies are not like regular diapers as they do not absorb water. What they are supposed to do is to hold any solid waste in. Though it is true that swim nappies do not guarantee non-leakage on 100% if used with some precautions they will prevent the germ spread.

You can choose from disposable and reusable swim diapers to buy. Both have their advantages and drawbacks but I personally advise using the reusables.

The reason I favor washable swimming diapers is they are much cheaper in the long run though the initial expenditure may seem large. In fact your infant will need only two or three reusable swim diapers so you can change them if there has been a poo event.

You can machine wash them with other clothes and towels. I wouldn't advise that you put your infant in a normal cloth diaper cover. Generally it will do the same work but the chlorine in the water will ruin the fabric.

If you dislike the thought of washing a soiled diaper than you should go for the disposable alternative. Disposable swim diapers come in packs as regular and you throw them away after every swim. I wouldn't suggest using a sposie more than once though it can survive a couple of laundry cycles.

The downside of using disposable swimming diapers is they will need more room in your bag and they are actually high priced.

When you go choosing swim diapers you should keep some essential checkpoints in your mind.

A great swim diaper should be comfy, easy to put on and pull off when dirty and should be made of a light fabric that won't give your infant a rash. My recommendation is to choose an adjustable swimming diaper, there are options with Velcro, snaps and strings so it fits snugly the baby's body.

Both reusable and disposable swim diapers have a great variety of colors and designs to choose from. Particularly if you have a baby girl you may find it to choose only one or two as they are so cutesy.
